About the Role

The school is seeking a qualified VCE English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis, commencing in Term 3 (or earlier for the right candidate).

Responsibilities include:

• Experience teaching VCE English
• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons
• Supporting students in developing advanced literacy, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills
• Preparing students for VCE assessments and examinations
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment
• Contributing to faculty planning, moderation, and curriculum development
• Participating in school activities and the broader college community

This role would suit an educator with a strong understanding of VCE requirements and a passion for driving student outcomes.

Location: Melbourne, VIC (Northern Suburbs)

Requirements

• Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
• Experience teaching VCE English (highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements
• Ability to engage and inspire senior students
• Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
• Two professional child-related referees
