An outstanding independent co-educational school in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated English Teacher with the skills and experience to teach Senior VCE English. This is a full-time position commencing as soon as possible or from Term 3. The successful candidate will take on a full teaching load, including Year 12 English, and play an active role in the school’s academic and pastoral life. Key responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, rigorous English lessons across Years 7–12, with a focus on VCE English
Prepare students for VCE assessments and external exams
Design differentiated learning to support a range of abilities
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and moderation
Contribute to the school’s wider literacy initiatives and co-curricular programs
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., M.Teach)
VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
Proven experience teaching Year 12 English (VCE experience strongly preferred)
Expertise in the Victorian Curriculum and senior assessment frameworks
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
