Visual Art teaching role overview We are seeking an enthusiastic Visual Art educator to deliver engaging programs across Years 7–12. You will teach both studio-based practice and theory, guide students through folio development, and actively contribute to the creative life of the college through exhibitions, community art projects, and arts initiatives. This role suits a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships, shaping arts curriculum, and contributing to a vibrant regional community.
Key responsibilities
Teach Visual Art across Years 7–12 using contemporary, student-centred approaches
Develop creative and culturally informed units aligned with the Australian Curriculum
Support senior students with QCE Visual Art, including folio preparation
Manage art materials and maintain a safe, inspiring studio environment
Use NAPLAN and school-based data to support differentiation and targeted learning
Participate in school arts events, showcases, and community partnerships
Collaborate effectively within a small and supportive arts faculty
Requirements
QCT registration (or eligibility)
Experience teaching Visual Art at secondary level (senior experience advantageous)
Strong practical and creative skills across a variety of media
Ability to teach both applied and theoretical components with confidence
Commitment to inclusive, evidence-based teaching
Willingness to participate fully in regional school life and events
