Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded Catholic primary school in Ipswich to appoint an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time fixed-term contract commencing in Week 5, Term 3, 2026, with a handover period taking place during Week 4.

The Opportunity Join a collaborative Primary team where you will:
Teach a Year 6 class for the remainder of the 2026 school year
Deliver engaging and differentiated learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum
Support students as they prepare for the transition into secondary education
Foster strong literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and families
Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community
About You You are an experienced and passionate Primary educator who:
Holds relevant teaching qualifications
Possesses current QCT registration (essential)
Has demonstrated experience teaching upper primary students, ideally Year 6
Brings strong classroom management and student engagement skills
Is committed to supporting academic excellence and student wellbeing
Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
Thrives within a collaborative and supportive team environment
Is adaptable and able to transition smoothly into an established classroom setting
