Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a specialist secondary college supporting disengaged and at‑risk learners to appoint a dedicated Year 9 Maths and Technologies Teacher for a full‑time role commencing in Term 3.
This Years 7–12 independent school provides a highly supportive, trauma‑informed, flexible learning environment designed to re‑engage students in education. Staff work collaboratively to deliver meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences that build confidence, connection, and success.
The Opportunity Join a caring, student‑focused, and collaborative teaching team where you will:
Teach Year 9 Mathematics as your primary subject
Teach Technologies (Digital, Design, or Applied) depending on your strengths
Deliver engaging, practical and differentiated lessons
Support students with individualised learning plans
Build strong relationships through trauma‑informed and wellbeing‑centred practice
Work closely with youth workers, counsellors, and support staff
Contribute to a culture of belonging, safety, and positive behaviour support
About You You are a patient, adaptable, and relational Maths/Technologies educator who:
Holds relevant teaching qualifications
Is QCT registered (or eligible)
Has experience teaching Mathematics at the junior secondary level
Is confident teaching Technologies (any strand)
Demonstrates strong differentiation and behaviour‑support strategies
Thrives in a flexible, wellbeing‑driven school environment
Values teamwork, communication, and student advocacy
